01 \ THE CONVERSATION
THE CONVERSATION NEEDS TO CHANGE.
Fatherhood is complex.
So are relationships. Separation. Domestic Abuse. Parenting. Safeguarding. And the systems families encounter when things go wrong.
02 \ WHAT WE EXPLORE
FOUR CONVERSATIONS.
ONE BIGGER PICTURE.
Fatherhood Reframed explores four areas that often overlap, but are rarely discussed together.

FATHERHOOD
Presence. Identity. Responsibility. Relationships. Exploring what being a father means today.

DOMESTIC ABUSE
Creating space to examine men's experiences of abuse while recognising that abuse can affect anyone.

children & families
Looking beyond conflict between adults to understand its impact on children and family relationships.

systems
Exploring family justice, social care, safeguarding and support through lived and professional perspectives.
03 \ THE DOCUMENTARY
FATHERS TELL THEIR STORIES.
PROFESSIONALS PROVIDE PERSPECTIVE.
WE ASK THE QUESTIONS BETWEEN THEM.
Fatherhood Reframed is a documentary project in development exploring modern fatherhood, domestic abuse, separation, children, safeguarding and the systems surrounding families.
This isn't about deciding who wins the argument.
It's about understanding the whole picture.
05 \ PROFESSIONAL PERSPECTIVES
LIVED EXPERIENCE
MEETS EXPERT PERSPECTIVE.
Stories tell us what happened. Professional insight helps us understand why it matters.
Fatherhood Reframed brings together perspectives from family law, domestic abuse, social care, safeguarding, psychology and research to explore the wider picture.
06 \ OUR POSITION
PRO-FATHER. PRO-CHILD.
ANTI-ABUSE.
Fatherhood Reframed exists to create space for conversations that are often difficult, uncomfortable or overlooked.
We advocate for fathers to be heard, children to remain at the centre, and all forms of abuse to be taken seriously, regardless of who experiences them.
07 \ ABOUT THE FOUNDER
FOUNDED BY
OMAR SILAS.
Fatherhood Reframed was founded from a belief that conversations surrounding fathers need greater depth, nuance and humanity.
Informed by lived experience and professional exposure to work surrounding domestic abuse, Omar created Fatherhood Reframed to bring together stories that are often unheard and perspectives that are rarely placed in the same conversation.
08 \ SUPPORT & SAFEGUARDING
NEED SUPPORT?
Fatherhood Reframed is a documentary and media platform. We do not provide legal advice, counselling, emergency assistance or domestic abuse casework.
If you are experiencing domestic abuse or are concerned about your safety, support is available.
